California Christmas

Okay, I realize I'm going a little bit backwards here...I posted my "happy new year" blog first, and now I'm sharing our Christmas adventure. Between having to work and then unpacking everything and getting our place back in order, I have had no time to sit down and do this....sooo.....
Our Christmas started with Christmas Eve at Grandma's house like always..too much eating and loving family time. Fun times were had with the gift exchange, Family, you are all brutal...heehee.
We got up EARLY Christmas morning and drove from our house to Oakdale (NorCal) to see Toby's mom. We were so happy to see her!!! Again, we ate way too much on Christmas at dinner. Sunday we went to the movies and hung out with mom and enjoyed our time together.

Monday found us getting up and having to leave to head even farther north to San Rafael to see Toby's dad. We went to Alcatraz on tuesday. I had never been. I really enjoyed it, so interesting!

We got up on wednesday morning and headed to my mom's house, which was a last minute change in our trip. She was going to come down to us, but couldn't make it. So, since it wasn't out of our way and I just happened to accidentally grab her Christmas gift when we were packing the car, we headed down the 101 freeway and went to my mommy's.
We spent only a couple hours with her as we still had about a 3 hour drive left. We had lunch at Jocko's...amazing...I always wish I could bring that place home with me!!!
It was an early night for me on weds. We made it home in about 3 1/2 hours, got home and watched some tv to relax and then it was bedtime for me since I had to go back to work on thursday.
I love Christmas, it's my favorite. I was especially happy this year since I got to see ALL of my family this year at Christmas time.
Merry "belated" Christmas to everyone. I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday!!
