Wednesday night I had a last minute invite to see the amazing Sarah McLachlan! I love her music but haven't really listened to much of it over the years and to see her live was so great! She was performing at Nokia Theater in L.A. and since it was a smaller venue, it made it that much better. As you know, at most concerts they will usually start with a lesser known artist as their "opening act" but Sarah's tour that she is doing now is called "Sarah and Friends." Instead of other artists going first, she performed WITH two other artists. Of course Ms. McLachlan is amazing on her own, but having these two amazing singer/songwriters was so good. She had with her Butterfly Boucher and Melissa McClelland. They were both so good and sang some of their own songs and also sang backup and Sarah sang backup and played piano and guitar while the other two sang. It was so different from a normal concert and was really cool. She did a lot of her older songs and some of her new stuff.
She also did a few Q&As. Fans were able to write down questions that were then placed in a hat on stage and twice during the show she read them and answered them.
It was such a good show and she was surprisingly funny and witty and just an all around sweet person!!!
I would most definitely go see her again in a heartbeat!
