Bestie Birthday Weekend!

I have the most awesome best friend ever! What makes it even more fun is our birthday's are one day apart...she's one day older...haha! Anywho...normally we just celebrate our birthday hanging out with friends, usually doing the same thing each year. This year we decided to leave everyone and everything behind and take a bestie birthday trip. We left the husbands home and left early Saturday morning for Pismo Beach, CA!

Our adventure started at 6am when I picked Kaelyn up and we began driving...it was so cold all the way to Pismo...we stopped in Nipomo to have breakfast with my mom since she is on the way and were hoping for better weather to come out..so instead of going straight to the hotel to try to check in early, we drove farther north to Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo...things started to warm up so we decided to head back down to Pismo to check in and get in our bathing suits and hang out on the beach...but the weather had other plans...ONLY 60 degrees!!! RUDE! So we opted for the tiny heated pool instead. Showered and got ready for our night out. Pismo is kind of like Main St. in Huntington Beach but way more things to do and way more fun. We shopped in the little gift shops and could not stop laughing at all the random fun things that we saw...it was so tempting to buy everything we saw just because we laughed so hard. We did buy a few things to bring home to the boys. Then we stopped for food, went to the corner liquor store for stuff in the morning and then decided on hanging out where the people were! So much fun...but about 9:30 rolled around and we were tired so we called it a night.

We were up early Sunday morning to continue our adventure north to Hearst Castle in San Simeon. Hunger began to take over and we were kinda sleepy and had a little extra time so we stopped at this little place along PCH for breakfast and coffee...holy moly was this breakfast amazing! The bacon made my tummy happy and the coffee woke me up! Unfortunately it was another gloomy day and fog had rolled in and decided to stick around all day. Usually you can see the ocean and mountains on either side of the castle, but not that day. Still, it was fun.

The tour ended around noon and we were on our way back home. We came home to find the boys playing video games together...awww....went to dinner and then came home and knocked out.

I love bestie time, but this had to take the cake for the best birthday ever!!!!
