So, I've technically had this blog nonsense for about 2 years, but never had the desire to keep up with it. Today however, I was inspired to start again and keep up with it. I wanted to share my story of the kindness I encountered.....
I went to the Westminster Mall today to take care of something I'd been meaning to do for a while. Then, with the money I got from that, I figured I would go buy a new vacuum and pick up some other things at Target...yes, target..I know, I'm addicted...haha.
But, being the smart person that I am, I didn't park in front of Target. I parked way far away from there down the way from Sears. Not thinking about that, I did my shopping at Target, paid, and began walking to my car and wham! My cart stops moving and nearly knocks the wind out of me. It had one of those auto-stop things that keep people from stealing carts. So, all alone with my vacuum, cat litter, and a new litter box, I start freaking out. How am I going to get all of this to my car?! Then out of nowhere, these two young boys (they couldn't have been more than about 7 and 12) come up to me and ask if I need help carrying everything. I just about started crying. Their mom was right behind them with the biggest, most proud smile I have ever seen and said to me "those are my sons, they can help you." I accepted their offer and got everything in my car, thanked them profusely and went on my way home. I am so thankful that parents are instilling good values in their children. I had forgotten that good people do still exist in this world. I'm happy to have been reminded of that.
